Got a New Cam
Well I got my new cam in my car, (2002SS Camaro)
I added
LT Headers
Cam, new springs, rods etc,
& Dyno Tune
The cam specs
Lift .591 .569
Duration 230 226
Lobe separation 112 with 4 degrees advance
Here is what I baselined
Run Conditions 107.10deg F 29.61-hg Hum:5% SAE 1.02
Max Power-306.45 Max Torque = 320.19
After all add ons & dyno tune
Run Conditions 100.79deg F 29.45-hg Hum:12% SAE 1.03
Max Power-354.25 Max Torque = 383.11
What do you guys think?
I think I could have pulled a few more horses if it was cooler outside
Thanks
Gary

what transmission? Doesnt your dyno do ASE Corrected numbers?
it shouldnt matter if it was 100 degrees or 30 degrees. The computer will know the weather when it is plugged in and CORRECT it.
Nice numbers but I am alittle suprised the low horse numbers. Exactly what mods have you done to the car? What year?
LS1 intake or LS6? 354 is nice numbers. But for a cam'ed car.. kinda low. Buuuuut.. only thing that matters is TRACK NUMBERS
Congrats on your new numbers. 300something versus 350something is nice.

I was told that almost all dynos are SAE and correct for temp. the only way a high temp will affect is if your engine gets too hot and knocks, which would have been pretty obvious if that happened. I got the #'s in my sig on a 105* day.

Car is a M6 2002, 2002 had the ls6 inatke
I had it dynoed back when I got in 2002 and it dynoed 318hp
Also regarding the Temp, Doesn't the IAT sensor on the car tell the computer the temp of incoming air, and if it is hot air it retards the engine to prevent knocking?
No other mods except
what I have now
Headers LT
Cam
I thought the numbers were a little low, but she sure does feel a lot stronger!
Thanks for the input

So does everyone agree those are good numbers or should they be higher?
I think the dyno tune may be off, The AFR runs just below 13:1
Maybe 12.7:1 which I assume is good, but I think there is more to be had.
Maybe I am being too greedy
