Thumbs up Doing an LS6 PCV conversion, had a pleasant surprise...

I pulled my old valley cover off and was ready to cut the chunk of aluminum from my block with my dremel to make the new LS6 cover fit when I found my block doesn't have this protrusion. What gives? I thought older engines before 2001 had to be cut. My car is a 2000. I'm not complaining, just wondering. I am thrilled not to have to do this step.

Has your engine ever been replaced under warranty? If you don't know, PM me the last 8 of your VIN. If its been replaced, you probably have a later year block.

Talking

Heh..actually it didn't go very far. SUPRYZE was kind enough to research my VIN and only came up with the several items I had fixed under warranty. Water leak in the hatch and the window motor replaced several times. Must be some oddball casting that was released before the production version.?.
