Help me with my camshaft delimma
Hey All,
I am going to buy a 224 camshaft for the T/A. I have allways planned on getting a TR 224 .563 on 112 for the car. I have seen fantastic results from this camshaft by lots of peopole (including two of my good friends), it makes great power and has surprizingly good driving characteristics.
The deal is that TSP has a camshaft sale going on and I can get a 224 .580 on 112 cheaper. This will be with Dual valvesprings. I honestly do not care that much to lift the valves over .550 on stock heads, I think it is a waste of time. I also know that the lunati grind will idle a little rougher than the TR grind, though I am going to have the car tuned anyway (M6).
So I guess is it worth the $200 I will save to lift the valves a little more if I am going to be running duals?
Thanks,
-Nick

I say it's worth the money you save. The extra lift will help to make more power, even on stock heads. Maybe not anything noticeable, it's not that big of a difference, but the extra lift will help. Save the money.

I saw this sale too and am wondering what to do. 224 or the F13 since the F13 has been putting out some rediculous numbers, and very driveable from what I understand.
The 224 I think I heard has some driveability issues if running a stock rear gear ratio.
Never heard of the TSP225....

I was wondering why they didn't list the TSP225 on their GP too. I've had mine for about 6 months. It's an awesome cam with just bolt-ons. It's listed as the first cam on TSP's homepage still though! I hit 386hp with my own crappy tune and they advertise 390hp. Not bad!
