Default ls1 500 hp problem

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i just bought and had installed an ls1 with a 551 intake and exhaust and 228 intake and exhaust degree cam, forged pistons, ported heads and throttle body. the problem is that it seems that cylinder 1 5 and 6 are misfiring....what can cause this? i checked all the wires and they are fine as far as the tester shows. maybe the headers getting them too hot? well i drove to work this morning and the service engine light turned off so it means they are all firing as they should, so what the hell is going on? let me know what you guys think

thanks,
sandro

also if anyone knows any good mechanics in the los angeles area that can deal with a motor like this please let me know where and how i can contact him

How can you tell those 3 cylinders are misfiring if they all tested fine? Did you scan for codes? What do you mean 500 hp LS1?

it was run through a scanning tool and it showed those three cylinders misfiring pretty badly. then this morning the service engine light went off which means those codes cleared which should mean they are not misfiring anymore right>? the motor is a 500 hp motor at the flywheel.

It's normal for misfire codes to be set with a bigger than stock cam. You can get it adjusted to be less sensitive with a tuner. How's the car running? Have you pulled the plugs to make sure they are ok?
