Default Tt 427

I was pondering a build up of a twin turbo 427. I was thinking of the ls1 block or would ls2 be better. I tried to do a search but I still have a couple of question maybe someone could help me out with. as far as running a twin turbo set up would I be better off the the cast iron block, or would al ls1 be reliable if I went with a 427, and I would be putting this engine in an Impala any suggestion on a good cam and head package to top it off, I know this car is much heavier than an f-body, so I would like to get it moving quick but I dont want it to fall off in the top end. it wont be a drag car just a serious street machine. thanks for any help.

When I was at LAPD, they were doing a turbo on an over 400 cube v8. Call and ask AL for details.

Plan on spending a lot of money on that set up, before its all said and done your gona be over 20k dollars. A twin turbo 348 will run just as good, and without having to get the block re sleeved and a bigger crank (aluminum block) or the block bored and a bigger crank (iorn block) Running a turbo set up id say you should go with the aluminum block because its ~100lbs lighter than the iorn counterpart, and your gona make that ~100lbs right back up with the turbo system a plumbing

Getting up to 427ci is going to be very expensive... I'd start with a cast iron 6.0L block and take it out to a 3.9" or 4" stroke... the 4" stroke seems to be pretty popular. I believe the cast iron block will resist main bearing cap walk more than the aluminum block... and if you plan on pushing over 750hp you'll be better off with the cast iron block.

iron 427=4.060 bore with 4.125 stroke. Punching out the holes that much im not sure id feel comfortable pushing boost through it.
