Default very cool cam install video, dyno, etc

Well I finally stopped being lazy and put up some videos I had. go to my site
http://www.darmer.com/videos%20main.htm
cam install was going to be a time elapse kind of thing but I realized that you couldnt see the important stuff, so I moved the camera. (and skipped some stuff on the reinstall due to my excitement) BTW cam is F14
you can check out some pictures I have if you want to, go to http://www.darmer.com and look around
hope you like it!

just some other info,
I used wooden dowels to hold the lifters up, but as you can see in the video, it took a decent amount of finger pressure to pop them back down, (everyone was like that)
I got the oil pickup tube bolt back on my first try.
I really cranked the balancer bolt with all my might it was very hard to turn the extra degrees (listen for sigh of relief in video)

Nice video. What size of dowels did you use?

how can you not find a place? it was done in my home garage, as long as its not raining, you can even do it outside I guess.

The dowels were both 5/16". I slightly "pointed" the tip and lightly sanded the length to remove burrs. cost less than $2

The valve train seemed a little noisey to me... It sounds like the preload isn't set quite right.

kind of sounds loud like that in the video, but if you listen to it it sounds ok, I was expecting the setup to make more noise.

Big Steele, Nice vids. What other mods do you have? What kind of dyno were you on? 374 HP seems a little light for an f14 if you have full boltons. Not trying to **** on your parade, just curious.

One other thing... Did I see you put oil in the rocker bolt bosses? Maybe youre hydolocking those bolts and thats why your preload is off...

actually thats right about where I was hoping for. I have LTs, ORY, stock cat back/cutout, lid,
LS1 intake, 9" rear w/ 3.89 gears, stock pulley, stock heads
the intake is holding me back, and the 9" also creates loss, the important part is that Ill be able to launch good at the track w/o worrying (once I get some good slicks). honestly I care more about track numbers than dyno numbers

I put a dab of oil on the top of the valve stem, and on the top of the pushrod, to add some lubrication on first startup. (i also dipped the pushrods in oil for the lifter area)

I also have a small exhaust leak on the drivers side somewhere, maybe that was part of the noise

Easy for you to say, I just don't have the time. TTP will get it done for me though.

I was wondering the same thing. This cam in a six-speed should put down 390rwhp easy. I am not trying to **** anyone off. Do you have ported TB? I am thinking about getting the same cam but now i am scared mine is going in a auto car too.
