Default Differences in 98 block opposed to 99-02??

I came into a LS1 with a spun bearing out of a 98 Formula for a really good price and wanted to build it for a turbo/SC application. Before I order over $2k worth of parts, I want to know if there are any differences in block strenth between the 98's and 99-02 because I know they are seperate entities and would like to make sure my investment of time and money is worth it.

Also, what problems will I run into if I actually do build this 98' engine up and install it in my 2002 Camaro SS?

Thanks guys...

in terms of the block differences, the only thing i know of that you might consider is: 98 & 99 blocks have what is referred to as "poor oil return" at high rpm (6,500+)...this was changed in 00. the pre-00 blocks have 2 small holes in the back for return off the heads, etc, which is very restrictive. whereas the 00+ blocks have a wide opening, try searching for it somewhere, i read the article in hotrod mag i believe. i bought an 00 solely for this reason. i plan on running a big cam/high stall combo, which illicits use of high rpms, etc. something to consider.

If I'm not mistaken, the 98's have a thinner sleeve liner and can only be honed to +0.010.
