Default Small water leak after cam install...

I got my cam installed over the weekend and everything is great except I am getting a little bit of anti-freeze on the carport after the car sits a while. No over temp problems and I can't even see that the radiator has lost any coolant. I did see a little drop come out of the right side of the water pump where it mates to the block after I watched it at idle for over 15 minutes. Seems to drip more after the car is turned off. I torqued the bolts as directed, 11lbs and then to 22lbs. Any ideas? I did reuse the gaskets being the car is a 99 and I was told I could do that. Thanks.

You can reuse the gaskets if they look good. Not all the time you can reuse them. I'll bet theres your problem.

Yep, your probably right. I ordered a new pair from GMpartsdirect but they did not get to the house in time for the cam install last weekend so I reused my old ones. I guess I will have to take it apart again.

Well when I pulled the old gasket off much to my horror the little rubber part of the gasket in the round hole was gone! I can only hope it fell off before I reused the gasket and it's not floating around inside my cooling system right now. So far, no problems.
