Default F15 vs MS3

Ok guys, I am looking into getting a cam, and as of right now, I have narrowed it down between these two cams. My car is an 01ss with ported tb, asp pulley, slp long tubes, 3" true duals with x pipe, 12 bolt moser with 4.10s and steel ds. I also plan to spray a 100-150 shot on top of this cam. I am just looking for opinions on which cam will be better.

I'd go MS3. I would also get some forged internals before spraying. You'll need fuel system upgrades at that point as well, of course.

there is a thread in the dyno section on the MS3 with a 200 shot

the title of the thread is 200 shot + stock LS1 - or something similar to that

if i remember correctly off the top of my head, N/A with all supporting boltons was 414hp / 374 tq and on the 200 shot it was 602/614

The ms3 was the way I was leaning, but I figured I would ask around and see. What about the g5x3 or 4? I already have a fuel pump on order, and will be going with 42lb injectors to keep the fuel there.

Yeah, that was my thread. I have stock internals/heads with the MS3 and all supporting mods. BUT, I am spraying the 200 shot at 5500 feet ABOVE sea level. It makes 602/610 corrected but only 491/500 HERE in Albuquerque. I do have a walbro 255lph fuel pump also. But anyways, I love the cam, it does great on the nitrous too. Good luck.

I will be spraying dry, but it will be set up in 2 stages. Trmin8r sounds like your car is a blast to drive. Hopefully mine will be as well before too much longer.

Alright was wondering why you wanted forty two lb injectors but my vote goes to the MS3 OR G5X3 Or 4

I'd go F15.

To be honest, I've seen a lot more TSP disappointments than Futral disappointments on the dyno. Why not go with a proven winner?

i would go the MS3 route. i love futral and will probabley have them build my next motor, but i have had great luck with TSP's cams. If the funds were available now i would be putting in an MS3 myself... but till then i will be running the smaller 231 / 237.

Bottom line though. both are great shops with fantastic customer service. Either way you will get a great cam with similar outcomes.

You are wrong on that.. FMS cams are ground by Cam Motion. The TSP "torquer" cams are ground by Comp, but I'm fairly certain the MS3 isn't. Jason or one of the other TSP guys can clear that up.

I was about to say the same thing. They are two different cams and two different companies. Futral's cam's have regularly outperformed most of the other cam manufacturers. I think I would go with the g5x4 with the nitrous. I haven't seen too many futral cams with nitrous. I'm sure futral could custom grind you a large nitrous cam that would be crazy, just give them a call.

x3 and x4 are both nitrous based cams that still produce big n/a numbers. Dont let the secret spec thing fool you, they arent as big as people think

Is the x4 not in the low 240's? Something like a 236/244?
