Cool Newb... help me out

Hi, I just got my 98 Ws6 about 2 months ago and am looking to do some mods to it. What are some good bolt ons or great bang for your buck parts I can get to boost my horse power. I wanna start leaving the compition farther in the dust. Thanks

If the car is stock look into getting an airlid and filter (any of them are fine...find the cheapest one), a good catback and so forth. You cant beat a good set of longtube headers, if you consider them "bolt on". Then, you can start cracking into the block. A good cam, etc. Take it one step at a time.

Thats what I was thinking. I got the Slp smooth bellows and the AIT mod and am now looking for a lid. Am aiming to buy a Borla system pretty soon.

I was considering buy headers till I heard that was not a safe road to go down because it mess's with the emission. Is that true or should I go a head and purchase some and if so what is the best set to buy.

You can run headers and still keep your emission's. A lot of guy's have to run catted Y-pipes because of State they live in. I think all the header's for these car's come with the provision's for keeping you emmision legal.....somebody correct me if I'm wrong. You should have no problems!! Good luck in your build up and have fun.

Hey thanks for the help..oh yea I was also going to purchase a borla catback but I heard it gets raspy at high rpms with headers. I really do want the borla so what should I do SS1875. Does it sound good?
