Default ok to take rod caps off???????

hey,,i want to check out my rod bearings and see how they look with the motor out..is it ok to take off the rod caps 1 at a time, inspect them and torque them back down to spec? will this be ok to do without any special kind of clearance checking etc...? thanks matt

EDIT: i forgot to mention...i do know that the rod bolts are TTY i was just wondering about if i had to measure anything..
thanks again

If you take them off, you have to change bolts. The best are Katech
