Default Has anyone heard of the 100 % full throttle mod?

ls1 throttle is not at 100% but does it really make a difference if you do this mod? What % is the stock full throttle at? Thanks

I've heard of this and would like to hear whether or not it is true and how to fix it.

Just the throttle body stoppers right?? Where the TB doesn't open up completely?

It's called the "bump stop" You grind the area where the throttle stops to allow it to travel further thus opening the throttle blade further. I just added a ported TB with this done and saw 1 hp and 1 lb. So probably a waste of time.

Hello and welcome to 1998!

The bump stop mod has been done since the early days, but it's not just for airflow gains. It also ensures the throttle position sensor reads a full 100% when at WOT. There can be significant gains. You just need some bolt ons to appreciate the airflow gains.

I have done r&d and seen an average gain of 1 1/2 rwhp between having it done and not on the same test vehicle mostly because of what Patrick said. Its a simple mod to do with the TB off the car to ensure not going too far and its free

You have to watch how much you grind. Using a voltmeter, you do not want to go over 4.71 at 100% TPS or WOT.
