Default Next Upgrades

No one could help in the Corvette forum..

Need help with my possible next steps or upgrades:

If I upgrade to the F.A.S.T. LSX intake, what is the typical power increases- I know the company says 10HP from a stock LS6 intake, but what is typical from a modified car. If adding a new T-Body(current ported t-body)which is best, going to the 78mm, 80mm or 90mm package. what are the power gains- is it cost effective?

Next, is the Meziere electric water pump- is it really 5-10hp on modified engines?

Next on my possible list is -MSD Blaster Coil for LS1/LS6, I'm guessing this might not really do much, if any thing, but don't know????

Current set-up:
I currently have a very light cam, by most on this forum- VHP 062 ASP-KICKER 2(using their or Crane's 1.72-1.80 variable rocker's)- 210/218 .551/.551 LSA 112- trust me, this cam is under rated and has lots of torque down low, and mid range while peaking at 6100 rpm's and only dropping 15 hp 6100 to 6700(rev-limiter).
This cam/head combo(Patriot stage 2 head, Patriot Gold springs with upgraded Ferrea valves) has a minimum of 350rwtq 3K-6.3K, 380tq 4.3k-5.5 and peaks at 405. Not looking to touch or change the Patriot's.

The next cam I'm thinking(maybe), is still somewhat light by most- VHP 056-Boss2 216/224 .551/.551 LSA 115. Both cam's have an overlap of -10 and an overlap of 52 vs 53 at .004.
Questions:
1. Both cam's have the same .050 overlap- I'm thinking idle quality should be the same. I'm not looking for a choppy idle. I like the idle as is, while it has a very light or slight chop. I'm not willing to move to a 224/224 LSA114/112 because of the chop. I want to keep the car as a sleeper- if not, the wife will complain! I think some of you out there can understand this.

2. Will/might the cam alone pickup 15-20hp, if so what tq might i lose, if any??

3. I'm thinking everything listed except the MSD coil, should give me 40rwhp and maybe 15rwtq?

4. Since my Patriot Gold springs have 2.5K, by the time I might do this, i should/might have a total of 5K on these springs. I'm thinking I can re-use these springs without any problems, since my cam lift is nearly stock at .551 and the Gold's are rated for .650- i believe.

Does all this sound right?
Costs without the MSD coils- With professional install and re-dyno tuning 4K-4.5K.

Lastly, please make any comments and/or recommendations.

Goal is 455+ rwhp- currently at 425.

Thanks'

I would yank the patriot heads and get a set of AFR 205's, milled (for 11.2> 11.5 SCR)with a .040 Cometic (quench).

Forget the Meziere unless you are race. For street they will not last long. Replace that choice with a good UD pulley.

i've been told locally that the differance is not all that must- will pick-up power but not too much. Have someone locally who had Patriot heads and changed for AFR 205 head. The guy picked up 5 hp on the change. not what i would call excellent or great($$$)- for that, I'll stay put.

any info on the (VHP)ASP cam vs Boss 2 cam???
