Sky-High Oil Pressure - Head Gasket?
Car overheated the other day, had it checked out couldn't find any coolant leakage. Today headed out and noticed my oil pressure jumped up to like 60-65 when cruising at 70MPH, I know that ain't right. Does this sound like I have an internal leak, ie blown head gasket??? If so (gulp) what is my mechanic going to hit me up for to fix it?

Look at your dipstick, if the oil looks like chocolate milk or is all bubbly and ****, you have a blown head gasket for sure. Do a compression test if you want to know as well. Not sure about the oil pressure thing.

My car runs about 60-65 at 70 mph but if you think you have blown a head gasket - look at your oil, it will start to turn milky if you are getting anti-freeze in it. If is a head being blown between oil and combustion chamber, I would think it would be higher.
