Default Help i messed up motor plate! OMG

Dam yall i think i fucked up my motor. I was reinstalling my cam retainer plate. i applyed red loctite on them all the bolts went in and i tighten them down not very tight i didnt. One of the bolts kept spining it didnt want to secure down i took out the bolt and all the fucken threads was coming out. will be ok to reinstall it with 3 bolts? How can i fix this ****!!!!!. I can put the last bolt down but it wont torque down it can be unspun with a wrench but not a hand PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE THANKS!

try installing a helicoil....and then buy yourself a torque wrench.

yeah ya must have a torque wrench when working on an aluminum motor.to easy to over do em.

Indeed, the torque spec is 18lb. ft. or something similar. Not very much torque at all!! You should definitely drill it and heli-coil it if you want a permanent repair.

Hey yall thank very much everyone. I rode my nephews little tiny bicycle all the way to the part store and bought a helicoil kit and i fixed it MUCH THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And please forgive my bad word typing eairly i applogize to everyone.

M8 x 1.25 is the thread pitch for the helicoil kit. I have one for those exact bolt holes. Sometimes they strip even at the correct torque spec.
