Default 30 lbs ford SVT. what is flow tested

What's the deal on the flow tested 30 pound injectors. The "not tested " are almost 100 dollar differance.

Is one tested by ford quality control for 30 pounds, and the other build by ford rated for 30 pounds without quality control testing ?

What they mean is they all flow exactly the same at their highest.
i got the regular ones, no worries on non max effrt setups.
Keeping adequate pressure at the rail is more important. That is why I use a rail fuel pressure regulator (mine is at 62psi, thank you Racetronix)

That's a great question a friend of mine and I both have sets coming from Paul at Thunder, and I was curious about the same thing. You would think since they are Ford branded the QC would be more exacting.

yea it all has to do with qc and how close they all flow to 30lbs. If you got the regulars some may flow 31 and some may flow 29. Could be a few more lbs difference but if you bought the matched set they will all flow 30lbs. So you will have equal amout of gas in each cylinder... I doubt a few lbs difference in each injector plays a major role, maybe 5hp at most..

call me crazy, but if they say SVT 30 pounders, they should be 30 lbs without us having to pay more for them quality to check them

The first set I bought was flow matched, because no one had regular 30lb'ers in stock. The next two sets I bought were non-flow matched (spare set for me and for another car). Never noticed a lick of differenece between flow matched and non-flow matched. Buying used injectors, it doesn't matter whether they say flow matched or not, the injectors are used.

its more of a marketing thing. If you were ever into remote controll cars its the same damn thing with the batteries"matched cells" and sell for twice as much. With thoes you get about a 30sec longer run time, big deal. As for the injectors, they are a production part and have a tolerance in which they should fall in. Like i said some maybe 31lbs and some maybe 29lbs, not sure what they would consider acceptable to be called 30lbs but im sure its close enough that it really wouldnt matter. Take our cars for example(2001 ta as an example) rated at 320hp. Every 2001 has the same parts but produce different amounts of power, shouldnt be too much difference but there is one..
