need help with cam selection and clearence

need help with cam selection and clearence bought some used patriot 5.3 stage II cnc heads with the patriot springs etc... They are decked 5 thousandths.
Going to run on stock 40k miles shortblock
plan to pair with mac headers and ORY, magnaflow cat back, ls6 intake, bolt ons etc...
want to run a healthy cam, but obviously don't want the hassle of fly cutting pistons.
I have a couple of choices
MTI R1 cam 232/236 .575/.578 on a 114 LSA
or
g5x1 228/232 Duration & 588/574 Lift at 112 Lobe
I think either should make decent power
also planning on running 7.35 pushrods, does this sound right?
also adding a LS6 oil pump during this fiasco of an install. Any other recommendations?
I could use hints on which gaskets, head bolts etc...
