Default WFT not another cam question. Need some quick advice.

Installed the cam and had it ready to bolt in the car.
Checked for PtoV and had none.
I have the new cam sitting here and need to know if new gaskets are needed? I replaced everything with brand new stuff and the cam has been in for about 3 days.
What do you guys think?

I'm confused. You installed the cam but you have it sitting there.

are you saying that you installed a cam, found out its too big, so you got a new one ready to be installed? If so, then you apparently havent cranked the car, so, yeah I would reuse 'em. just my .02

Yep that is what I am saying.
Went a little big on the cam and had the heads milled pretty well. You can guess what happened next....
I ordered a new cam that was smaller because I didn't want to flycut.
Gaskets are still new and never used but installed.

Cam wasn't that big it was the 12:1 compression by shaving the heads that got us in trouble, 232/236 high 500 lift on a 112. The 112 didn't help either.
Switched to a 224/228 581/588 113 and everything is now okay.
Guess you got to live and learn.
At least we didn't fire the car and realize the cam was to big.
Best part is I have a new cam going in my car as I type. LOL, well not exactly as I type because I cant to a cam swap and type at the same time.

Thanks for the help guys.
