.040 Cometic.... .033 quench too tight?
After hours of searching for the biggest cam that would fit I've decided the hell with it and I'll be flycutting. Heads are TEA 2.5 LS6's and cam will be MS3 or G5X4. Wanna keep the compression over 11 so I'll have to go alittle thinner on the gaskets with the material being taken out on the pistons. Heads are milled .010. I've seen threads were .035-.040 was ideal quench, but seen several running the .040 gasket. What are your thoughts on the tighter quench?

How high are you fellas spinning them? I'll be looking at 6800 shiftpoints more than likely. Spoke to Jason at TSP and he is all for the .040 so with the info from you guys that is probably the direction I'll head, assuming I can find the things! Keep the input coming! I do appreciate it.

I may be able to find enough cutters to piece a kit together. Although to do it the right way you'd need a core head with the valve seats cut out for the cutter to cut at the right spot.
