Default Heads + cam = smoke!!

So I put stock 6.0 heads on last night and also put a Futral F4 cam in and now i get smoke under hard acceleration and deceleration. It is definatly oil smoke but i had 0 smoke before the cam and heads. I have taken the PCV system off the car so that aint the issue. It isnt a ton of smoke but it is definatly noticable. I used a GM MLS head gasket and ARP fastners to do the install. Any ideas would be great thanks.

sounds like your getting blow by in the cylinders. That could be compounded if you took the pcv system off completely. It actually does serve a purpose. It vents the pressure in the oil pan so it doesn't build up and put pressure on the lower side of the rings. i recommend a catch can or the vertical pcv mod rather than remove it completely.

Well i can understand that blowby makes smoke btu i had no smoke at all before the heads and immeaditly had it after teh heads.
I have not completely removed the PCV system i have just made it so that it doesnt reroute back into the TB. The system is still there jsut not venting into the engine.
Thanks

Could possibly be tune related. More than likely youre going to need a new tune. Unless you already have one then I guess were back to the drawing board.

If it wasn't smoking before, it's probably more related to the heads. You may have some bad valve seals. Were they changed/checked before you bolted up the new heads?

Is there sealant on the intake rocker bolts that go into the ports?

A friend had same problem w/ smoke on accel/deccel. he used same heads , eng was overhauled and heads rebuild. checked pvc, valve seals, performed compression test everything checked good. found out that wrong cam was sent to him. he ordered hyd cam and ws sent a roller hyd cam. dont remember the company it was frm but, they did take care of him and made it right. swapped cam and eng. ran like a pro. just something u might want to check on. ( part number). call company and talk to them about maybe a honest mistake. after all humans do "mistalkes". hope this helps.

I definatly need to get the car tuned since the cam but i dont see how that would cause smoke. It definatly smells like oil. I had the car tuned after teh turbo but not since the heads and cam.

I didnt check or change anythign but the springs on the heads. I put my 918's on them. I really hopein that if the engine in some way is screwed up that it is the seals that are leaking. Atleast then i dont have to f with teh bottom end. The heads are used but they were on a truck so im figuring not a abused one. Not that that shoudl matter as i abuse the **** outta my car and no issues till this.

King you mention sealant on teh intake rocker bolts, and that they go into the intake runner. I surely didnt notice that the holes go through. If they do then that would definatly explain that. I know on my stock 5.7 heads they didnt go through.

As far as teh cam being incorrect I dunno. It is a futral cam that has teh name of the company, futral, and the make of the cam etched in teh front of the cam, F-4.

Teh problem with teh smoke isnt constant. Even under hard acceleration it is only intermittent. Once deceleratin, using the engine as a brake, after accelerating HARD it smokes till i blip the throttle.

I was gonna do a damn compression test on teh engine after the install but i got lazy after a 6am night with my buds car doing the heads and cam adn then the next night doing the same on mine. I did do a compression test before i took the stock heads off and i had 185-195 on all 8 cylinders. Hope my info helps anyone help me figure this out. Thanks
