Default New to the Game.

I believe that i have read enough post to understand exactly what i need to do to my car. I understand first off it will run about $10000 grand to get my car any where near a good performance car. I have a 1998 LS1, Automatic, Z28, nice and clean, got it for a steal of $7000 with 68,000 miles on it. I ust now got down overhauling the motor and that costed 3800. But i believe these are the steps i want a 10-11 second car or a little above 11 seconds.

1) Re-Due the Rear End.
2)Re- Due or Upgrade to a built tranny.
3) All bolt ons. ( 1st Dumb Question, List of All Bolt-Ons?)
4) Then something like AFR225 heads. (this may sound dumb, Waht is AFR?)
5) Then Like a Cam upgrade tp like a TR224 (dumb again, TR?)
6) After that what is there i need to do.

Im very serious about putting the time and effort into this car, so its not a joke, but something people respect. I want to do my car right and not half @$$ it. Anyone out there that could help feel free to reply.

1)Get a 9" with a locker or a spool (if track only car)
2)Good idea
3)headers, Lid, exhaust, Fast 90mm Intake and Nick Williams 90mm Throttle body, Electric water pump (optional)
4)AFR = airflow research, they are one of the leading head porters/manufacturer's. That's a good idea to get those heads.
5)Tr is thunder racing. You will need something a lot bigger than that to run 10's or 11's. Contact Futral Motorsports about that.
6) Suspension. Get everything you can get. Lower control arms, subframe connectors, panhard rod, torque arm, etc...

No offense but you really don't seem like you know too much about what you are doing. So I really suggest you either do a lot of research, or contact a sponsor near you and have them build you a car and get their opinion on what to get after you tell them what your goals are. They will lead you in the right direction.

What was done to your motor? AFR is a head manufacture,(one of the best BTW). TR is Thunder racing. Both are sponcers,---->. Boltons, Intake, Exhaust, Headers, Pully, Throttle body,ect..

Heads and cam here at our shop through a 6spd. we put down 465 rwhp, now we use E.T. Performance 5.3 heads which outflow the AFR's 225 (which our great heads) ans or custom "S" cam, 238/242 115 LSA, and Kooks 1 3/4 stepped. The car has stock 10 bolt, stock bottom end and at our 1/8th mile track run's low 7.1X on a M/T drag radial.
