Default Local guy claiming 487 through an A4. Is this BS?

This is his quote, "I have the magic stick for a cam, Partiot 6.0 heads buillet crank flat top flycut pistions by Diamond 6.0 block,1 7/8"supermaxx long tubes, with ORY and Borla back, Evl 3 trans Yank SS 4000 stall 3.73 gears and why not just a 275 shot ogf the go go juice. But no I didn't spray the Zo6. The car makes 487 to the wheels unlocked on motor alone with 110 fuel"

Does this sound possible? This car is from Stateville NC and its a white WS6 with purple/blue flames on it supposedly. Does anyone know of the car?

Anything is possible. but why not call him out and have him dyno it. or show you his dyno sheet. if he knows he makes 487 w/o spray then he had to dyno it sometime.

It's probablly a 408 ci motor. The numbers sound rather high, but anything is possible. If he had a better set of heads, I'd say maybe, but with the ones he has, it's just not likley.

Isn't a 4000 stall a bit big for 487 RWHP AND a 275 shot?

Defentially possible especially with the fuel being ran.
If he has a very aggressive cam and a good amount of compression I wouldn't raise the BS flag.

Jason@TSP's 408ci engine did 480rwhp through a unlocked 3800 stall A4 and 780rwhp on the juice. I guess it depends on the displacement/compression whether or not this particular one is BS.

unless it is a 408 with real good heads, it is NOT making 487 rwhp with the converter unlocked. If it is a stock shortblock as it seems to be, he is full of ****.

ummm.. why would you think a 12:1 408 couldn't make 487 unlocked on a dyno jet?
I mean,hell, he put a 4l60e in a ZO6.

That's what I'm saying. VINCE has a 408 putting out 550rwhp through a m6 so I don't see why an auto couldn't put out 487rwhp.

because you will loose at least another 5-7% with the 4L60E, so 550 would be more like 500, and an unlocked high stall converter can kill 30-40 hp easily. I was assuming this was stock cube. If it is a 408 with AFR 225 and a huge cam, it might just make 487 unlocked, but I would still be somewhat skeptical.

I agree. He is using the Partiot 6.0 paper weights, I mean heads.

I don't see why not...I made 448rwhp through a built 4l60e, with a pye 3600 stall on a nitrous tune, with et streets at 22psi and a 3.73 gear, stock cubes. This guy has a 6.0 block (stroked?) and a pretty radical cam. It's not unbelievable that with a high compression setup, and a lot of timing (racefuel) that it can't be done.
