Thumbs up Vinci 220/224 Cam and TEA 5.3/1.5 Dyno results

The guys at Vinci Hi Performance, Maitland, FL were able to squeeze 408.7 HP and 394.9 ft/lb out of my car with the VHP 066, 220/224, .551 lift, 114 LSA cam and the TEA 5.3 1.5 heads. Tuning was done with the VHP handheld tuner. The rest of my mods are in my sig. The folks at Vince Hi Performance are great to work with, definately have my recommendation!

Impressive numbers, Fedz. Agree with your recommendation on Roger Vinci and crew. I just installed a set of AFR 205's 62 cc, cometic .040 gaskets with VHP boss 2 cam, 1.8 Crane rocker kit and tuned with handheld. Impressive now and yet to be tuned, can't wait. stock converter replacing next

Nice I was looking at a similar setup with that cam-how many miles can you go before having to change the springs-what do they reccomend, since it has such a low lift. How does it idle and drive?

D James,

I would definately recommend this cam. I have to deal with a lot of city driving, so I did not want a cam that was too big (if there is such a thing). The car idles great and drives great, I have 4.10s which also helps in the city driving (but not for gas mileage). As far as the springs go, I haven't asked, but I can and will get back with you.
