stock is like......72cc I think (I don't remember...)....

the only way to know is to try.........my guess is the lower CR wouldn't be equal to what the increase in flow is (you should gain HP).....

Not to mention you want high compression for nitrous. Low compression for boost.

The ls1 head is a 66cc and the ls6 is 64cc. I would "GUESS" you would loose power due to the loss of compression. When I built my new motor useing MTI's P/P 6.0L heads(72cc) I could feel a slight loss in power over my old setup, which was full boltons and a tr224. I am running 9.1 to 1 compression now. Some one plese chime in if my #'s are incorect. Hope this helps.

I highly doubt you will lose more power than you would gain just by dropping from 10:1-9:1 compression. I mean typically an afr head will net you 40rwhp. So I can garuntee you won't lose 40rwhp from 1 point of compression. Now it's possible I suppose that losing compression would have an effect on the 40rwhp gain numbers, BUT, I don't see how.

I see what your saying. I realy haven't ran my new moter any where near what ran the stock one so that could be a factor. But I still dont think he will see the the full potential from those heads on stock cubes or without a blower/turbo.

AFR 205s only come in 66cc chambers...around what a stock LS1 chamber is. The 225s come in 72cc chambers and soon in 62cc chambers. Even in stock unmilled form, the AFR 205s are around 40 rwhp better than stock.
