Default Help ASAP....Windage tray for different blocks

I am going to be using the stock LS1 oilpan.

I am swapping in an LQ9 block with a stroker crank.

Do I need the LS1 or LQ9 windage tray??
Do I need the LS1 or LQ9 oil pick-up??
From the looks of the blocks, they would both line up. Just need to make sure.

Also, head locating dowels. Apparently there are different numbers for the LQ9 and the LS1. If the heads are interchangable, wouldn't they be the same??
Help me quick...I need to order this stuff by tonight!!!!

You use the LS1 windage tray, but why replace it? Do you mean the deflector? You need an LS1 deflector because the LQ4/9 is too long. Then you need spacers because of the stroker crank. I have some spacers if you need.
The oil pickup is interchangeable
I used LS1 heads on a LQ9 no problem, but you want 4.0+ size head gaskets depending on bore

Okay. I keep hearing two different things here when it comes to windage tray and deflector. I have heard the part I am looking for is called both.
I am looking for the part that connects to the main cap bolts. Oil pick-up is also bolted onto this.
The one I had went with the motor I sold. Worked out a deal, plus it isn't that expensive.
I will need spacers.

I know I keep bringing this up. Just trying to make sure I get it right.
Windage tray is right under the crank, and the deflector is in the oilpan right?? Or am I still off.

you are backwards. Windage tray is in the pan and deflector bolts to the main caps. I am 1,000% sure of this because I just bought both from the dealer. It was a nightmare because I kept calling it the wrong stuff. They straightened me out.

To use my oil pan and windage tray with my 4.0" Scat crank, I had to do a little 'clearancing' for the rod bolts.

Thanks for the clarification.
I have the windage tray here, glad I didn't order one.

I will just straighten out my order tomorrow morning!!! Thanks again!

Now that we got that figured out....difference from the LS1 to the LQ9 block?? I would think they should be the same.
The only thing I will need to do is add some spacers.

spacers if you run a larger crank than stock.

you need to tap a hole for the third alternator bolt also.
