pull valve cover frm dr side first, only way to find out why its ticking, could be your "rev limiter". process of elimation here.
did u have it tuned?
how long has it been doing this? since cam swap or several milage there after?
clutch slipage maybe?
just trying to give u things to look at or ideas to consider.
hope this helps some. good luck .

pulled valve cover everything was great and looked beautiful so then i put hp tuners on it and it was showing it going over 6200 in hp tuners and only 5.5k to 5.7k on my tach. What is up with the stock tach being off? When i got in second hp tuners was showing what the tach was showing so i know i was just hitting the limiter so i rose it up to 6400 with hp.When the car felt like it hit i was showing extremely low 02 reading so i got it.I was worried i Fed my motor up.thanks
