Default Anyone running a Futral F13 cam on a 114 LSA in Virginia?

Any issues with emissions: OBD-II or dyno-sniffer testing? Thanks.

A well tuned example shouldnt have a bit of problem passing the sniffer test unless something is way out of whack. I dont think Ivehad one car Ive tuned fail emissions in VA or MD. Have a

I just got my car back last night and idles rigtht 900rpms. You can still hear the cam though. I love the power after 2700. I think that cam might too big to pass the emissions. I've read in other thread that the biggest you can go is some where around 224/228.

You can tune bigger cams to pass, but sometimes that involves changing the tune for test. If you have cats on the car, you may not want to go to much bigger.

I have the Random Technology Metal Matrix Cats that came with my LG Long Tube Headers and am using a stock Z06 exhaust, which I hope will help with emissions testing. I wasn't sure if anyone was running a cam this big and had passed the sniffer test in VA or not. I'm having Doug and Chris at East Coast Supercharing in NJ to the install and tune if I can have some degree of confidence it will pass. Please keep the comments coming.

I live in Lorton, I just heard that NOVA went to the OBDII method like MD has where they just plug into your diagnostic port and scan for codes. I'll do more research to verify, but if this is true...it will save all of us a bunch of heartache...not to mention a new cam size for me

I believe this is indeed true. I had a friend come to me the other day asking for help with his Maxima because he had some bad O2s and failed the emissions inspection. He said they plugged it into the port under the dash and that was it. He lives in Alexandria. If that's the case, O2 sims will be our best friends, and you'll be hearing a lot more lope out of the LS1 cars in VA
