Patriot Stage III heads question
I am in the process of putting together a head/cam upgrade plan. Would the Patriot Stage III head be to much for the following setup? Should I go with the Patriot Stage II head? Also should I or do I need to fly cut pistons?
99 LS1 C5 Vette
Haltech Stinger
BBK 80MM TB
Fast 78MM Intake
Patriot Stage III Heads???
LG G5X3 Cam
LG Pro LT headers
ASP UD Pulley
Patriot Shaft RRockers Adjustable
Comp R lifters
Comp 7.050 Push Rods

The only diffrence in the Stage 2 and 3 is the valve size. Stage 2's use a 2.02 on the intake with a 1.57 on the exaust. The Stage 3's use a 2.05 or a 2.08 on the intake and a 1.60 on the exaust. If you got the 3's with a 2.05 valve, you should be fine. A 2.08 is a bit big on a stock bore unless the valve job accompanies the smaller bore size.

Looks like Beast hit that one of the head.
For some additional power a few companies hand finish PP heads, but that also makes the head more expensive.

If fly cutting is needed than I will do it. PP Stage III heads have 2.055" Intake and 1.6" Exhaust. Just want what we all are after, more HP But if going with the Stage III heads won't give me much more HP than really not worth the trouble of fly cutting pistons.

Damn slow hawk got banned quick.
What he said is defentially not true.
PP offers one of the best budget heads ever.
They will make more power with your setup no doubt.
I bet you could gain 30 or so HP by running a 59cc stage 3 PP head with a .045 gasket. You will pick up some impression flow numbers vs what you currently have and add a nice amount of compression.
Are these the best heads? No. But for the money you cant go wrong.
Unless the banned guy 1 post up from mine uses AFR/TEA/MTI/Futural/ET/PRC/WCCH I highly doubt his heads would compair to Patroits.
