Default Oil preasure sensor

Just posted this in external engine but think it might belong here. Anyway just called advance auto parts and they said thier "book" had part numbers for 97 and 99-02 no 98. Well mine being a 98 this is a problem. I thought they were all the same. Does anyone know for sure.

I dont think the above statement is correct...they are not the same. I don't recall which is which, but one is a two prong connection and the other is a one prong connection (98).

Go to O'Reilly

I got mine at O'Reilly for about $20 for a 1998 Camaro. Part number BWD 54187 with a Lifetime warranty.

Mine is a 98. We tried swapping from a slew of 99 and up Camaros and none fit because the sensor connection is different on 99 and up.

I got excellent service from O'Reilly. Overnight ordered on a Friday and picked it up at 10am on Saturday and it came in from out of town. Can't beat Saturday delivery for a $20 part.

Tip: Be careful when you remount the intake or will you break off the sending unit (the new one you just bought).
