The lower the rpm your car idles at, the meaner it sounds. It won't be louder though. It'll have a more distinct "cammed car" sound with the rpms low. The problem with that is the car will have a tendency to surge so getting off the line will be a huge challenge.

I have a TR 224/224 114 and my car idles at around 900. It sounds great and performs well too!

650 rpm idle, that's some good tuning.

I have mine at 900rpms w AC off & 950 on. Has a nice short chop and thru the cats you really have to have a trained ear to notice a cam. I had it at the stock idle setting and it was a little more lopey but I prefer the higher idle speed.

After initial install, my idle was at 900 rpm (I have a M6). During tuning we lowered it to 800 and it sounds quite a bit meaner. My cam is on a 112 (see sig), and either at 900 or 800, you definitely know there is a cam in there.

had 650 RPM in my M6/3.73 gear daily driver for a while......it worked but was really touchy at times..........the stock M6's 800RPM idle speed works REALLY good with that cam.....

My car is tuned right now to run at 900 w/ my tr230 so that it wouldn't surge much if at all when I had the max a/c on and coming to a stop. However, after going out and playing w/ my EFIlive pro today playin w/ idle I found that 775 works just as well, but you have to run the regular a/c. Not the max. But hell for as mean as it sounds at 775, i'll take just using the a/c

When I had my pewter car, A4, with the TSP 225/225 .589.589 on 112lsa, it idled at 675 no problem, sounded sweet!
