Arrow callies crankshaft

whats the difference between the callies magnum crankshaft and their racemaster crankshaft. i have an opportunity to get a brand new callies 4.0 stroke racemaster crankshaft fro $1400. Is this a good deal or should i let it pass by. Thanks guys

Not sure what the difference is, but TR has the racemaster for $1600 + shipping. I'd say it's a good deal, but would only be necessary if you're building an all out drag car (aka 800+ hp).

just so we are clear here........even the stock crank will take buttloads of HP......with the 6 bolts holding the mains together it's really hard for the crank to twist (and thus brake).....

one of the main differences is rotational mass, the racemaster is a heavier crank than the magnum plus series

$1400.00 is a good deal

That looks like the magnum in the ebay pic. The magnum crank has a nicer finish and has an additional heat treat versus the racemaster.

i have a 6.0 iron block on a unit putting out 613 hp to the wheels on the stock crank. i used the stock crank because at the time i could not afford the callies. but that is a very good deal they sell for over $1900.00 brand new. i have not had any trouble with my stock crank.
