Default Gas,

My friend told me that on his camaro, when the gas gets under 1/4 of a tank that it retards its timing to conserve fuel.
Is that true?

Totally untrue. I've always got my best numbers at the track running an almost empty tank.

Gas seems to go away faster at 1/4 tank and under for me.

Normal for all the 4th gen f-bodies. The tank is narrower in the bottom. When you're at the 1/4 mark you have probably only 15% left in it.
