Default just got new ls6 heads but something doesnt add up??

I just got a set of brand new ls6 243 heads complete. They have the yellow valve springs in them but the valves are not hollw stem valves. The regular valves were on the 2001 ls6 engines but with blue springs, and the hollow valves are on the 02 and up engines with yellow springs. so you see something is not adding up and dont know what i got here.

I believe GM only uses solid valves now. They probablly had some 243 castings left, but assemblled them with LS-2 parts.

Yup, theyre known for mis matching parts. Just like with the seatbelts on some of the 00 and up cars.

LS2 are most definitely 243 heads. Just no hollow valves.

They should be orange but I haven't seen the valve cover to confirm. I'll see if I can get that info.

With GM changing the spring/color all the time, it could be many...

Sounds like that's what you got so you should be good to go. Curious to see how the results go with the GT2-3.
