Default 112 LSA F13 who have a professional tune..

Does your car "buck" or "jerk" below 2,000 rpm's at light throttle? Please tell me your experience with this cam either way. If it did and you fixed the problem please give details, if it drives perfect with no problems I would also appreciate your input.

No cam should "buck" or "jerk" below 2000 RPMs.

It's not a cam issue, it's a poor tune.

I had a F13 (112lsa +4) for about 2 months... no bucking, surging what so ever. What you are describing is a poor part throttle/idle tune... More than likely, I would start with the VE table….

Even the best tune can't always *totally* eliminate bucking w/ some of the larger cams. With the F13 you should be able to have it pretty smooth especially above 1500. Gears would certainly help with this as well.

Try adding a little timing down low, Ive done that on a couple of cars & it seems to eliminate the bucking.

Mine doesn't really have any bucking, but there is some "hesitation" around 2000 rpm. We had it completely eliminated from the car unless you tried to get it to buck, but then I put the lower half of my SSRA on and it screwed with the amount of air the engine was getting and now the tune is having some issues. We haven't had time to fix it yet.
But for like 5 days in there, my car was just perfect, you could barely even tell there was a cam in there driveability wise.

I have tuned my own car but with my amateur tuning skills I can lug the car at 1000rpms with no bucking, I can do the same at any rpm between 1000rpm and 2000rpms. But I'm not a professional so what do I know.

Base running airflow with more timing corrected my issue. There is no single magic number it all depends on what your car wants.

i agree...its your idle/pt throttle tune. up the ve a bit and add some timing and it should be good.

Gears do help, a m6 w/ 3.42s is gonna buck around...
now if you have gears, it shouldnt be a problem.

That isn't the correct answer to the problem. The car wants a certain amount of air, you need to find the sweet spot with tuning. A properly tuned car won't buck even with 3.42's in there. By adding gears, you are upping the rpms for a specific mph range. Most cars only buck under 2000 rpm.

Mine bucks at low speed in 1st. I am having a much bigger problem now ever since I cleaned the Filter, MAF, and TB. Car pops, hesitates and falls on its face when bliping the throttle at low RPM in any gear.

My car would occasionally buck even when it was stock on a stock tune.

I dont have a professional tune, But ive eliminated more than half the bucking associated with my f-13. Its not hard to drive, but when other people drive it they tend to have their hands full with it. Hopefully further tuning can eliminate this.

My car does buck on the stock tune, and it still does after me messing with the tune. However, I have not really done much to the lower rpm tune yet. I get the worst bucking in gear at idle basically, like when you coast thru a parking lot. It really does not like that (partially because my idle is 825 rpm), but I am confident I can get most of that gone.

Thanks for all the replies, the "tuner" is messing with the plugs etc., and says the tune is perfect. I would love to tell you who the tuner is but I am giving them one more chance to make it right before I tell everyone. Yes, they are a sponsor on this site and they are not a small shop. I am running TR6 plugs gapped at .045 if that makes a difference, I chose these plugs based on Gomer's recommendation in higher compression cars.

don't drill anything, that's just fudging the computer about incoming air. same thing (but more precise and reversible) can be done with RAF tables.

Sweet...another "effects-based" professional tuner. Perfect tune my ***. I'm sure there are some very smart people on here that could help get it in line...
