Head Gasket information FELPRO 1041 Just some information for you guys...
FELPRO part number 1041
Head Gasket V8 LS1
Gasket Bore 4.135
Compressed Volume 9.4cc
Compressed Thickness .041
Bought from Summit racing for about $60 each, same part number for both sides. This is a VERY nice gasket. I deffinately recommend this for larger bore engines, looks very sexy!

Re: Head Gasket information FELPRO 1041 I considered trying out the FelPro head gasket, but didn't like the .041 compressed thickness. I'm just going back with a new pair of Cometic .054" thick MLS gaskets. Things are tight enough in my combustion chamber already, without loosing another .013".
They do look like a wise choice if they aren't too thin for a particular application.
