Default what lifters

Ok i am plannin on getting the f14 cam soon. I figured i might as well replace the lifters too, so what lifters do you all think would be best with this cam. i wont be getting heads for a longggg time, not sure if that matters.

also i plan on getting ported ls6 oil pump, rollmaster timing chain, and then the FMS dualspring upgrade kit which comes with the springs, pushrods, retainers, etc then im gonna get the camswap kit that comes with the bolts and gaskets. Anything else I should get for the cam?

Thread lock for your cam bolts!! Dont run the risk of them backing out on you...I've been there.

Yup Comp 850-16 lifters they are cheaper than stock GM lifters and better. I had to replace mine after they messed up my cam. And put a new set of lifters. If i went with stock the lifters itself would be about 800-900 buck on just the lifters.

just so you know the heads have to come off to get the lifters out.

I tried the Comp R 875 lifters, they make more noise than solid lifters.
Just bought Morels, will let you know soon how they work.

850-16's going in here with 5.3's. I got the lifters for 165 new never opened off of a member.

Comp "R" lifter's here!! Noise is a by-product of performance, it's not alway's a bad thing.

are the moral lifters really worth the extra $300 more they cost over the comp cam lifters?

The Morels are fully rebuildable. They are worth some HP. Much more stable at high rpm.
