I am sooooo envious! Sounds like you've built my next engine! I can only imagine what it's gonna sound like and FEEL like when you mash the throttle for the first time! You da' man!

Better make sure that pilot bearing works, and I wouldn't use locktight on that eagle crank. Might have to have a bushing made like I did with my 408. Eagle crank, What a pain. The 408 is awesome though hope it runs well for you. I love mine.

The crank is over machined for the pilot bearing so it doesn't set in the right way and Eagle reccomend that you use locktight to fix the problem. I say that is a big no no. Do a search on Eagle pilot bearing. I had a bronz pilot bushing made and its working fine. Thunder Racing did the motor and to say least I am very pleased with them.

Eagle had a production problem with their 4" cranks about a year ago and stopped making them. Supposedly they fixed the problem so If your crank is new you should be ok.

This is an old problem that Eagle corrected quite some time ago.

If you had one of those cranks Eagle will also send you a slightly larger OD GM pilot bearing for it. We had one like that as well but it was in GM spec although at the higher end so the slightly larger pilot worked. I know people that have had that happen with a Lunati and a SCAT as well. GM had a wide spec on that hole size and made their bearings on the small side.

I'll have some pics later in the week

mr2guru "I'm gonna say 548whp" I hope so but i'm not sure cause i am going to be running my 78nn LSX that was ported to 80mm and a ported BBK 80 mm TB & also my old lid and MAF which i think are 75 mm. So i think there will be room for improvement

Elite_Hot_Rod & MAXIMO, Thanks for the good info
Everyone else, thanks
Any other opinion's

Ouch that 75mm MAF is REALLY going to hold you back I'd ditch the maf altogether and get a SD tune. The cam will be happier too.
