Default Car keeps blowing fuses!! Help!!

My 1998 Trans Am keeps blowing the Powerseat/defogger fuse (i replaced the circuit breaker w/ a fuse because it would kill the circuit after 2 minutes when i used the defogger and it got really annoying.) Had no problems with it for 2 years, but now it blows the fuse within 1 minute when i start the car up. Please help!! Its just that one fuse.

did you check to see if the wiring is worn down in some area and grounding out?

well, anywhere that the wiring from the seat runs under the carpet or from the defogger switch back. I'd look to see if something was pinched or worn down.

Check your wiring for a short to ground on your seat harness,or check the terminals and connections any type of corrosion or loose terminals which create resistance blowing yor fuse.... you have some issues because fuses dont just blow cause they want too....

Open hatch, look near the hinged area and unplug the two plugs that power the defroster(one per side) Keep in mind, this only eliminates the item powered by the wire and not the wire leading to it. So this should be taken into consideration as well. Good luck
