The TR224 is a popular cam, and has proven itself over the years.
Good luck with your search.

ohhhhh every cam is a good street cam. It's all in the tune. Just write down a bunch of different cams, throw them in a hat and pick one

seriously, go for either the FM13 or FM14 if you want to go a little bigger. The TR224 is outdated IMO compared to the FM13. They both idle just as good but the FM13 makes more power.

My money was spent on 205 AFR Heads and a 222-222 .581 .581 115lsa cam.
Car idles fine and has only stalled twice while cold, and started back up instantly. Seems streetable enough to me, but certainly doesn't lope or make the kind of power most here make with their cams. I'm at 376rwhp-361 rwtq with stock manifolds, will post up this winter with a before and after dyno Kooks LTs catted-Y install.

The F10 (228/228 0.575/0.575 114) is a really nice cam for an A4.
