NA or FI?
Of course one of these will be installed after a rear end and chassis done up. My final goals are 485rwhp and 490rwtq. Not really looking for low cost but just safe and dependability. Also sound which one sounds the best, lopey cam, blower whine, or blow-off valve?
Thanks positive and negative comments are welcome.

do you want to idle like a stocker? or idle like a rocker?
i already had 2 H/C setups and now im going twin turbo, it sounds cool but im already having thoughts thinking "should i have went with a big stroker instead? " NA is way easier to tune and maintane, but its going to be loud. if you just want to go kick *** on the street or track then id get a stroker but if you want to stay quiet with a smooth ride and still be fast as hell....go turbo.
a big cammed ls1 awesome sounds sweet, but when your cruising for 2 hours straight, it gets annoying cause its so loud.
a turbo sounds like a freaking jet when you floored which is badass but at idle their quiet as hell.....actually too quiet IMO. i heard a couple and i could barley tell if they were running.

how loud is it actually? I don't know what either sound like but rocker sounds good.

It all really depends on how you want to achieve your goal. I had opted for the smaller motor/big nitrous at first, but then sold that set-up because I didn't feel like getting bottles filled all the time. My next set-up will be a big cube/big cam/big heads stroker motor. This way I can run normal plugs with a max effort tune and never have to worry about small thing throwing the tune off. As for the sound, you can always quieten it down with a good exaust. If yu like the maitenence of a FI set up, then go for it, but for ease and a get in and go, any time, any where set-up, you can't beat a well matched stroker motor.

Do the storker thats what I am doing in my truck. You cant beat the attention you get when you pull up in a parking lot and you have a nice choppy lope. If it is too loud put a quiet exhaust on it.

Well If I go with 408 block and h/C, should I do it all at once or do H/C 1st then the block, vice versa or all at once. Now cost is a factor because I know all at once will go like $9k including labor. But H/C will cost around $4k with labor right?

Is your cars suspension and chassis ready to handle the kind of power you are planning on throwing at it? Also what clutch and rear end do you have? I think your numbers are easily attainable with a 408ci engine but in the end when it's all added up it will be well over $9k counting everything (H/C, 9", clutch, sfc's, cam, fuel system, suspension, etc.). If you got the money I think that is the way to go. It ain't cheap but you'll have one hell of a car when you are done. IMHO
