Default LS6 heads/cam swap how much power

I have a 01 Z28, I bought the 02 LS6 243 heads and ZO6 cam. My car dynoed 325 with MTI Lid, Free mods, filter, HPP3, and a flowcrapper muffler through stock pipes and manifolds.
How much increase in HP/TQ can I expect after the install and a tune.
Also, I may go to LTs and catted y with Hooker cat back, how much increase if I go that route?

Thank You

Port and polish the heads and get 228/228 112 LSA or bigger cam to reach the maximum potential.

Get rid of HPP3 programming, ditch the crappy muffler and go with LT headers and ORY or high flow catted Y or true duals.

I dont have the HPP3 anymore, I have Predator, this is my DD car so I dont want it all radical, which is the reason I bought the stock LS6 stuff. My Grand National is my "race" car.

You can get a cam that is a lot better than the ls6 cam that will still be a very good DD.

Predators kick *** . Mine was good for almost 30 rwhp. They're right about the cam, though. Port the new heads + bigger cam + LTs = 100hp+. You might be able to get enough HP and torque out of the 224/228 or 224/224, especially if you add an LS6 intake (or better) too. What you ought to think about though is whether you want 400+ hp / 350 tq or 390hp / 370tq. Most daily drivers would be happier with the higher torque. How are you going to be driving it, 2500-5000rpm or 4000-6500rpm? If it's 2500-5000, then you should worry more about making high torque at lower rpms, than cracking 400hp at 6500 rpm... I'm sure that there are some guys out there with 224s that are making good power, search the Dyno Results and look at their set ups.

BTW - I think you got it backwards... you should be daily driving your honey around in the Grand National, and building up the LS1

If you want something with power and a good daily driver, check out my cam, also my car does not sound like a sewing machine. You'll need to get some computer tuning to get maximum potential out of you cam, and to have a nice Idle, with limited surging. The Ls6 cam is not enough, if you do a cam upgrade you need to at least go over a 550 lift.
