just got a set 6.0L 317 Aluminum Heads
I just got a set of 6.0L 317 Aluminum Heads. What if anything should I do to them before bolting them up to my 98 vett motor. The motor is in a ultima with a single turbo. I was thinking about just putting in springs. Anything else I should do? What head gasket should I use?
thanks,

Change the springs and slap 'em on. Will will need new valve covers though because the AL 317's don't have perimeter vc bolts like the 97-98 ls1's.
You've got a bad little car there!!!! That thing is going to be killer on the street!

heads are used got them off ebay. They come with valve covers, so it sounds like all I should do is swap the springs + get a 6.0 head gasket. Does it matter what year head gasket I get + are there different kinds

Since they are used, I would send them to TEA for refreshing.
Otherwise you'll never know if you have good guides/seals straight valves etc...I would not use LS6 valves in a turbo set up.
You could even get a CNC job on them and get a little more flow.
