Just as the title says. Which manufacturer makes the lightest weight LS1 Hydraulic Roller Lifter for better valvetrain control at high RPM's? Anybody have a listed weight comparison of OEM vs. Whoever?

A better quality lifter is more important.... weight on that side of the rocker arm doesn't have as much effect on the system but stiffness in pushrods and high quality tight stiff bodied lifters do make a difference.

The best lifter is the Morel lifter. Do a search on that around here. They are not cheap either.

Bret is dead on. Spintron testing has reversed many old ways of thinking. Reduction of weight in the valvetrain will help with stability as long as that reduction does not compromise stability in other areas. Lite pushrods long thought to be the best choice are now being replaced with very heavy stuff because testing has proved that deflection is a valvetrain killer. Heavy lifters in Fuel cars have cured the problem with valvetrain issues with the exhaust lifters due to high cylinder pressures. The weight of the part is only a part of the equation.
