head/cam install
believe it or not i have a mustang but have been wanting to sell it and get a 00 ss or newer. but my question is how much power does a ss make with heads and a cam to the wheels including long tubes and full exhaust and tune. i have been seeing that the ss makes alot of power with little amount of effort, so if the ss does make alot of power with heads/cam then i will have to sell the blue oval and buy a bowtie. thanks for the help

not gonna say it can't be done but it's really at the end of the spectrum for stock displacement, naturally aspirated, no nitrous, stage 3 heads, big cam, full bolt ons....
FYI, the SS has nothing to do with the power. Z28 & SS power differences were minimal, just a catback and airbox really. More of an appearance & suspension package. Ditto for the WS6 package on the Firebird/Trans Ams....

It will run 11s. I am trapping at 115-116 MPH with just a small cam - stock heads. I am still learning to drive on the track. Buddy of mine with the same small cam I am running and stock heads ran 12.01 on drag radials. I have another friend running 11.60 with a small 75 shot of NOS on top of the mods you list - while babying it on launch so it does not blow up the rear end - the weak link on our cars.
