G2 G5x2 Vs Magic stick MS3
OK well after some homework and some ideas on here, These are the two choices for cams, They both seem like good cams, I want 11"s on Na and close to 400hp at the wheels, With the cam a ls6 intake and headers are going on, Will the magic stick be alittle big? I don't wanna change stock heads, The price seems fair on both of these and I will not go cheap on the springs and a good tune, What spring kits do you all recomend for each of these cams? Thanks for all the help last times guys hoply you'll all be able to help me make up my mind once and for all. And I will be spraying, So which one of these will handle spray better, I only spray once in a great while at the track, maybe a run or two.

I have a 3500 tci stall, ok yeah i figured i wouldn't get that hp but either way Which would work best with my mods, plus the intake and headers and of course a good tune

Either cam will do you good. Maybe some of the A4 guys could chime in with an opinion to match your stall.

I like my my MS3, it's extremly street friendly even with a mailorder tune. I couldn't be happier with it. With a 150 shot in full street trim the car runs consistant 10.60s through a 2.5" dual exhaust. It runs a hell of alot better on a 225 shot though.
Should work good with your converter, I run a 3,500 stall with a 2.5 str.

3500 isn't enough converter for the MS3. I installed my MS3 with a TCI SSF3500 and ended up restalling to 4k, it is much happier now. After the MS3 my 60's were almost exactly the same as before, in fact. When I added an LS6 intake, UD pulley and restall the 60' dropped by a full tenth.
If you plan to stick with the 3500 I think the G5X2 would be a better match.

i think the x3 would be more comparable than the x2. your looking for track times, not numbers right?? other cams produce the same amount of power with more drivability and less overlap than those cams. I cant personally vouch for either or since ive never driven either, but the g2 cams love spray as most have noticed with the x3. there are so many cams out there and they're all great choices! Both TSP and Louis have great customer service!!!! You cant go wrong with either, but id consider the x3 over the x2 imho.

Yeah the ls6 intake meets my funds alot better and does the job well IMO, i'm still trying to make up my mind about the cam, I'm getting there really leaning toward the magic stick though

The MS3 and LS6 intake will work just fine together.
I installed my MS3 while still running the LS1 intake, stock pulley. Through a 3500 stall converter it put out 343 rwhp. Adding an LS6 intake and SLP UD pulley, plus raising the stall speed (less efficient) to 4k it made the current 385 rwhp.
I'd say the LS6 intake will work just fine.
