Default How often should I change my oil on a weekend warrior?

I put about 1,200 miles on my TA a year and I'm wondering how often I need to change the oil. Although it looks good, I just want to make sure that it won't break down molecularly.....I use Mobile 1 synthetic if it matters.

Thanks!

I change mine 3 times a year, and put about 2500 miles a year on the car, once in teh spring when I take it out, once in the middle of teh summer and again before I put it away. no problems. ONly time I ary from that is if the motor's coming apart.. like it is in a few weeks, then it's a change then, and a change after 500 miles, and then back on schedule.

Twice a year with Amsoil 5W40. In the fall, then in the spring before track duty.

You could easily go two years on your oil, as long as you don't do any short trips where you wouldn't heat up the oil fully.

Good clean engine oil is key for engine life. Why have thousands of bucks stuck in your baby and skimp on a $30 oil change? Id change every 3k or 3 months with full synthetic.

Once a year is fine. As patman (who is one of the oil kings over at BITOG) says as long as the oil is at operating temp when you drive it you are good to go with 1 year +

Why waste money and good oil?
