Default Best heads for Z06 block

Hey guys i plan on dropping an 02 Z06 motor in my car, along with 224/224/114 lsa cam, pulley, LT's, & Lid. I was wondering what would be the best set of heads for this motor. I have the stock heads off my 99 TA motor, but i figured i would see what heads would work the best and give me a jump in HP. Should i just stick to my stock heads off my TA? LS6 heads? Stage 2/3????? Let me know. Thanks!

Send the ls6 heads to TEA for their stage 1.5 treatment and call it a day- they will perform incredibly. If you want totally new heads, look at AFR 205's.

MTI does a fantastic job on the LS6 heads. Its not cheap but a proven performer.

Default heads

if you have ls6 heads already, use them and have them ported by a reputable shop. If you want an afetermarket head for a great price I would recommend the ETP 215 or 225. We just laid down almost 30 hp over our ls5.3 head.

Depends on where you go and what you have done. Anywhere between $1200 to $4000.

Go AFR's if you can, and you can sell stock heads on ebay to recover some costs.
