Default 1st Look Brand new TrickFlow LS-1 Head

Well here is yet another offering for the LS-1 cylinder head market. I just saw this for the 1st time yesterday over at TrickFlow and it looks awesome. They plan on releasing this at the SEMA show next month but it is not quite finalized, planning on early 06 availability. I have not had a chance to flow it yet, but here are some features that they would share with me: The biggie is it has a 13.5 degree valve angle (15 is stock)and will use a 2.04 intake valve. This will provide a 64-5cc dual quench chamber with more valve drop than a stock 5.7 head that should allow guys to run big camshafts on stock shortblocks without p-v problems. The intake runner is in the 210-215cc range and "should" flow well over 300 out of the box on a 3.900 bore. They also have larger versions in the works too. It will initially be offered cnc ported only but will also be offered in an as cast version as well. I'm told pricing will be in the $2200.00 range for the cnc ported and around $1500 for the as cast ports assembled. The casting looks beautiful and appears to have a heavy deck and thick ports along with reinforced rocker pads. It feels like it weighs around 30 lbs but supposedly has a good amount of water jacket in it for cooling on street cars. I will post flow #'s as soon as I can get one in our shop.

Good info, thanks for the update on those. I've been wondering what their status was.

I heard the Darts are going to be about 1/2 the AFR and others.

TTP takes CNC'd AFR castings and then does port/polish work in house for our Stage 3/4 heads

We're doing something right tho...

Don't forget about the revised spark plug location on all castings, and the raised valve cover rail and raised spring pockets on the "R" head

Dyno numbers coming soon.

The being able to run larger camshafts with no P to V issues sounds nice. If TEA ports some Im interested, but I love my 1.5s.
