Default LS7 Exhaust Rockers

Has anyone tried installing 16 LS7 exhaust rockers on an LS1-LS6 or 4.8-6.0 GENIII engine for an OEM style 1.8 ratio rocker upgrade? Does anybody know if they'll bolt right in w/o any modification? Thanks!

try to post this in the LS2/LS7 section and see if you can get some answers. I know that the LS2 uses the same LS6 243 heads so every thing will fit on our LS1 heads from a LS2. But the LS7 is a whole new beast that not a lot of people has expierence with yet.

yea..that site is hard as hell to navigate. You pretty much need a part # for everything.

not sure, the new hot rod has an article on how the ls7 is built. Ithink it says something that the heads have standard rectangle intake ports, and that the valve are in different location within the head, so they require offset rockers.

the intake is offset, not the exhaust which this thead is about.

Interesting idea, I hadn't thought of that.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I haven't tried it.

I have one, just need the time to try it out. If it doesn't fit, I'm only out 10 bucks.

How about a part number? Will they work with a stock head gasket, pushrods and an LS6 cam in an LS1? What is the stock ratio for an LS1?

p/n 12579617. These have a 1.8 ratio, stock LS1 are 1.7. The head gaskets don't matter. Whether it actually bolts to the stock rocker stand, and pushrod length are the only two questions I have.
