Will my PTV clearance become a headache?
Current set up:
Stock ported heads/milled .022/ Ferrea 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves
TR 224/224 .561 112 cam
Comp 918 Springs
.060 stock head gasket
Changing stock rockers and TR push rods to COMP Pro Mag 1.75 and stock length push rods.
Looking for adjustable rocker to take out valvetrain play and quiet the sewing machine under my hood (been like that since the beginning, about 2 years). Also, I've bounced the rev-limiter (upped to 6700) more than a few times and figure my pushrods have been abused.
No power loss issues currently as by the SOP method, but figure I may get a few extra ponies out of the extra .05 rocker ratio.
I'm guessing the .05 ratio increase of the PRO Mags aren't a big worry with my set up, but does anyone have a similar set up that has worked or because of PTV clearance? Also, is this enough of a change to affect my tune or will the current tune (custom) likely learn to compensate.
